​My Boyfriend Bonhoeffer is a haunting exploration of the artist’s imagined romance with Dietrich Bonhoeffer: a German prophet, theologian, and martyr living under the oppressive Third Reich regime. Part pillow-talk, part ghost-story: this experimental theater piece explores our own country’s present state of collapse through the lens of a young woman's wrestling, and through the complicated yet prophetic wisdom of a young man who did the right thing amidst impossible circumstances.
